Enrollment
We currently have full and part-time options for children from three to eight, or preschool through third grade. See below for scheduling and tuition information, as well as our handbook and calendar.
Age Groupings

Please note that age groupings are subject to change based on the number of children enrolled in each category.

Preschool/Pre-Kindergarten (ages 3-5)
The preschool and pre-kindergarten age group will consist of three to five-year-olds. This age grouping will be assigned a mentor teacher and intern, as well as any additional teachers necessary to maintain a 1:7 teacher to student ratio. Children in this age grouping may attend half-day or full-day for any consistent number of days each week. Parents may select their days at registration time. Please note that children must be 2 1/2 on the day that they start, and we do NOT require that they be potty-trained.

Kindergarten - Third Grade (ages 5-8)
This age grouping will primarily consist of five to eight-year-olds, however families will be encouraged to work with their child’s teacher to determine when the child should move from one age grouping to the next. This age grouping will be assigned a mentor teacher and intern, as well as any additional teachers necessary to maintain a 1:7 teacher to student ratio. Students in this age grouping will either attend full-time, or will be homeschoolers on a part-time schedule. Homeschoolers can attend half-day or full-day for any consistent number of days each week. Parents may select their days at registration time.

Drop-In (ages 3-8)
We will accept drop-in students at a rate of $8/hour for children registered on different days or for siblings of registered children. We may also be able to accommodate drop-ins in some cases for children who are not enrolled. Please call ahead to determine if we have space available.

Tuition Assistance

We are excited to be able to offer some tuition assistance beginning with the fall of 2008. For this first year we will be considering applicants on a rolling basis, meaning that each application will be reviewed as it is submitted.

To be eligible for Tuition Assistance, you must complete the FACTS application for the Academic Year 2008-2009. You’ll need the school’s zip code, which is 80027, and you will need to pay the processing fee by credit card. If the application fee presents a hardship for your family, please speak to a director about a processing fee voucher. You can also apply by completing a paper application, which you can obtain by downloading it from the above website, or from a school director. Please note that if a voucher is used for the processing fee, a paper application will need to be completed.

This Tuition Assistance Application, which contans a Family Information Sheet, a Personal Statement, and a Tuition Assistance Agreement must also be completed and returned to The Patchwork School.

The data from the FACTS application will be returned directly to The Patchwork School, along with the FACTS “Calculated Need” document, detailing your estimated family contribution. Every Tuition Assistance applicant must complete and return all documents in order for the Tuition Assistance Committee to fairly evaluate each application. All final Tuition Assistance awards are confidential. If you have any questions regarding tuition assistance or the awards process, please feel free to contact us.
